torafu architects warm aesop "grand front osaka mall" with japanese cedar
Torafu architects have added another retail space for Aesop to their portfolio following builds in Shibuya, Kawaramachi, Tokyo and |Yokahama.
The realization of the grand front Osaka mall location for the australian skincare brand has seen the japanese firm transform an intimate 3.9 meter high and 7 meter square plane area with soft pink walls and bespoke japanese cedar consultation and point-of-sale counters; the squared logs of varying lengths punctuating aptly placed sinks, bringing a sense of rhythm to the interior.
Contrasting the warmth of the wood fixtures is the installation of black steel shelving that visual frames the stores, acting as a bridge between the built-in storage components and columns, making the line-ups of aesop products stand out.
