Sonia Rykiel flagship store in Paris
The flagship store of Sonia Rykiel has reopened with a new, original shopfitting concept. Shelf walls that go up to the ceiling containing 45,000 books and provide the framework for the fashionable range. It was organized by color themes and integrated here and there in the walls of books. On tables accessories are presented. On the first floor lacquer red painted shelves create the atmosphere.
The pop-up concept that is occurred a year ago Julie de Libran new chief designer and artist André Saraïva have dreamed to be a tribute to the home of the brand: the Paris Saint Germain des Prés. The chic district was known for decades for its rich literary cafes, where renowned writers such as Jean-Paul Sartre and Marguerite Duras went in and out. Part of the cafes has given way fashion stores.
In the new store design so customers can not only browse through the fashion range, but also in the books. So even pets have an opportunity to read and leafing on various seating to shorten the waiting time - maybe even while "Madame" sniffs in the locker room in the erotic books placed there.
This shop fitting concept will soon be seen in the Sonia Rykiel flagship stores in London and Tokyo, and will remain until the end of the year there. Overall, the Parisian label operates 26 stores worldwide.
