Neiman Marcus Department store concept
Designers…That will be the lasting impression once leaving Neiman’s for the first time. The store features several, what feel like, boutique shops within it. St. John, Escada, Giorgio Armani, Chanel, and Prada are some of the designer brands it carries, to name a few. Many of the store’s design elements are inspired by the Pacific Northwest, so although being a foreign company to Downtown Bellevue, you will feel right at home.
Over 160 pieces of artwork from regional artists are hung throughout the store. This is the first Neiman Marcus store in the Pacific Northwest, the department store emits a sense of openness, simplicity, and modernism.
Glass screens promote translucency of space, and luxury can be found in high-quality woods and metal finishes, lush textiles, and earth-toned hues. The Mariposa restaurant features an accent wall of polished plaster and curved screen walls and a stick motif to control views, while Cosmetics and Men’s departments use frosted glass screen walls to do the same. Furthering the luxury concept of the store, custom decorative pendant lighting was used in several places, including a hand-blown glass ball cascading from the ceiling in Precious Jewels.
