LOUIS VUITTON has recently opened a new boutique in Bucharest (Romania) located in the Athenée Palace building on Calea Victoriei – the most prominent avenue downtown. The construction of the building began in 1912 on a new hotel designed by the French architect Théophile Bradeau. The grand opening took place in 1914. With a breathtaking Belle Époque architecture and opulent interiors, the Athenee was built as a haven for Europe’s elite.
In its early days, diplomats, artists, and intellectuals gathered here, captivated by the hotel’s grandeur and the vibrancy of “Little Paris” Bucharest’s nickname at the time. Today, the Athenee Palace remains a landmark of refinement and history. It stands as a testament to Bucharest’s resilience and charm, seamlessly blending the grace of the past with the vitality of the present. For those visiting the new Louis Vuitton store, this storied setting offers an invitation to experience a taste of Romanian heritage, elegance, and the timeless allure of travel. The boutique features men’s and women’s ready-to-wear, bags and accessories as well as eyewear and perfumery.
