Spanish luxury brand Loewe has officially opened Casa Loewe Shanghai, its largest flagship store in Asia. Located at the bustling intersection of Nanjing West and Changde Road in Shanghai’s Jing’an district, the store covers an impressive 7481 square feet (695 m²). It showcases a wide range of products, from men’s and women’s ready-to-wear collections to accessories, jewelry and even home fragrances.

The striking exterior of Casa Loewe Shanghai immediately catches the eye with its shimmering golden ceramic facade made of handmade enameled tiles imported from Spain. Inside, the space is a harmonious blend of metallic ceramic walls, natural lighting and a warm palette of white, brown, gold, orange and green.
The interplay of materials such as glass, concrete, marble, brass and oak creates a balance of cool and warm tones, making the store feel both modern and inviting.

The store’s furniture is a mix of antique and contemporary pieces, including Gerrit Thomas Rietveld’s Utrecht armchairs and George Nakashima’s walnut upholstered chairs. Axel Vervoordt’s floating stone table and Oliver Gustav’s linen sofas add to the curated aesthetic. Decorative elements such as Isamu Noguchi’s Akari E pendant lamps and custom-made wool rugs from Spain further enhance the space.
Artwork by renowned international artists and artisans is thoughtfully displayed throughout the store, transforming the space into a gallery-like experience. Visitors can view pieces by British ceramicists John Ward and Mo Jupp, Chinese sculptor Dong Han, Japanese bamboo weaver Hafu Matsumoto, and German woodworker Ernst Gamperl, among others.
