Inside the new Chanel store in the JK Iguatemi mall
This Monday (18.03), closely Vogue gave the new Chanel store that installed on the ground floor of the mall JK Iguatemi, São Paulo. With 380 m², the space is divided in four different environments: a room dedicated solely to scholarships desire of maison, called Bag Bar, a second with the shoes - sneakers jeans are the main focus of the brand for Brazilian consumers -; a third location that will serve to welcome vIP guests, and a final, dedicated to accessories and unique items.
The store is the first Brazilian architect to design the New Yorker Peter Marino, responsible for the Chanel boutiques around the world. The decor, as well as echoing the symbols of the brand, takes elements inspired by Coco Chanel's apartment where he lived (which can be seen in tweed carpets, made exclusively for the new spot.) In the color palette, shades that are always present in creations such as white, ivory, black and red predominate, between wall panels painted by hand.
Adding a unique twist, five works of the American artist Peter Dayton, Chanel collaborator, decorate the two tasters vip (the abstract patterns of black and white camellias were inspired by themes worked in the high jewelery maison).
In time, the store label shopping in Garden City, which is under renovation, should reopen soon, now reformulated according to the style created by Marino.
