Freemans Sporting club store opening in Tokyo
A revered source of american men's style with stores in New York city and San Francisco, Freemans Sporting Club has taken its expertise across the pacific and opened up shop in tokyo's upscale Aoyama area. The first of a series of new outlets in japan, it covers 6,500 sq.ft. [604 sqm.] spread over five storeys, and is designed by freemans sporting club's designer Taavo Somer.
The store interior is a modern take on classic americana aesthetics, featuring a lot of wooden elements and props that reference the brand's homeland. the ground floor showcases Freemans Sporting club's very own sportswear collection, paired with a selection of multi-brand casual goods, including collabs and limited-edition runs with gods of denim, leather accessories with the superior labor, performance suits with outlier, shoes with allen edmonds and sturdy boots with viberg. On the upper floors the brand offers tailored clothing, including ready-to-wear and made-to-measure suiting and accessories are presented, along a full bench-made bespoke suiting studio modeled after the original in new york. Additionally, the store has some unique firsts for the brand that'll certainly boost the retail experience for the most jaded of shoppers. there's a bar with a cocktail program conceived by star mixologist jim meehan, a café managed by kinfolk, a vertical garden in the outdoor atrium, and even a barbershop for proper gentlemanly grooming. location: 5-46-4 jingumae [aoyama].
