The store concept needed to attract a skate-and-surf subcultureâ€”plus moms.
For the flagship, we adopted a five-and-dime conceptâ€”adding a â€˜streetâ€™ twist. We aged new fixtures to 50 years, then layered them in graffiti and reclaimed timber walls. The plywood floor curves upward, creating a half-pipe surface for skateboard â€œshelves.â€ We capped all of this by theatrical lighting and music elements.
